Before any treatments a complimentary consult is required. At the consultation we will review your medical history (please bring a list of all current medications and supplements). We will do a patch test, discuss options, benefits and expectations for treatment. Photos will be taken at the consult and treatment appointments.
· Depending on the area being treated please arrive with clean skin. No make-up, creams, lotions, deodorants. If not possible, wipes will be provided to you. Please bathe or shower the day of appointment.
· Please do not wear perfumes OR essential oils to any of your appointments.
· The area being treated (Laser Hair Removal) must be clean shaven. Please shave within 24 hours of the appointment. If not shaven or unable to shave body part on your own, a fee will apply to shave the area. Fee will depend on size of area.
· Avoid bleaching, waxing, tweezing, epilate or chemical depilatories 4-6 weeks prior to treatment AND in between appointments (shaving is allowed).
· Avoid UV exposure for two weeks prior to appointment. Use an SPF of 30 or higher on a daily basis.
· No tanning creams 2 weeks before appointment.
· Avoid other skin treatments 2 weeks prior to appointment. Including but not limited to – fillers, injections, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. Do not use any topical products that cause photosensitivity (hydroxyl acids, salicylic acid, retinols and benzoyl peroxide).
· Clients with abnormal moles, spots or lesions in the area to be treated will require a consult and clearance from their medical provider.
· If you are taking any new or different medications, including antibiotics, contact our clinic PRIOR to your appointment.
· If you are scheduled for treatment on your face and have a cold sore, please contact clinic prior to appointment to re-schedule.
· Wear comfortable loose-fitted clothing to appointment.
· Please be advised, only you will be allowed in the treatment room during your appointment (unless you area accompanying a minor during their treatment).
· Avoid direct sun exposure to treated area for 7 days.
· Redness/bumps and swelling may occur, and are normal. Cold packs (not directly on skin), and Acetaminophen may help. If blistering should occur, do not break the blister. Avoid picking or scratching the treated area. If prolonged symptoms persist, please contact the clinic.
· Gently wash the area with mild soap, pat dry and do not rub during the first 48 hours after treatment.
· Loose fitting clothing may be more comfortable for the first 24 hours.
· No make-up, lotion, moisturizer, deodorant, antiperspirant, sunscreen for the first 24 hours (except those authorized by the clinic).
· No other hair removal treatments (besides shaving) in between appointments.
· Bikini area treatment – avoid seat warmers and sexual activity for 24 hours.
· Avoid the following for 48 hours, intense exercise, tight fitting clothing, hot shower and baths, chlorine, steam rooms, hot tubs, saunas, swimming pools.
· Avoid other skin treatments 2 weeks prior to appointment. Including but not limited to – fillers, injections, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. Do not use any topical products that cause photosensitivity (hydroxyl acids, salicylic acid, retinols and benzoyl peroxide).
· Use broad-spectrum SPF of 30 or higher in between appointments (avoid for first 24 hrs)
